ARIEL VENTO is an Associate Attorney at Andrus Anderson LLP. With almost a decade of experience, Ms. Vento has handled hundreds of cases on behalf of plaintiffs. Ms. Vento is passionate about taking on big corporations to fight for justice on behalf of individuals who have been wronged. She currently represents plaintiffs in class actions and complex litigation, and her practice encompasses many areas of law. Ms. Vento has represented employees who have experienced discrimination by their employers based on race, disability, religion, gender, pregnancy, or sexual orientation and were wrongfully terminated. She also has experience handling whistleblower retaliation matters and wage and hour claims on behalf of individuals and in class actions. Ms. Vento has prosecuted numerous civil rights claims and violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act in federal and state court in California.
Ms. Vento has extensive trial experience, having worked as a public defender in Los Angeles County for the first few years of her legal career, during which time she completed several jury trials. She was also co-counsel in a civil jury trial, a pregnancy discrimination and wrongful termination case, which resulted in a favorable verdict for the plaintiff. She is not afraid to take a case to trial, and has vast experience advocating on behalf of her clients in court.
Ms. Vento earned her J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2016. During law school, she participated in the Moot Court program, competing in the National Appellate Advocacy and the National Criminal Procedure competitions. Ms. Vento is a strong legal writer, having earned the top grade in her Legal Research, Writing and Analysis course in law school. Ms. Vento earned her B.A. in Jazz Studies from California State University Northridge in Los Angeles, and is a proficient trumpet player.
Ms. Vento is a member of the Women Trial Lawyers Caucus for the American Association for Justice, and is also a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and the Consumer Attorneys of California. An active member of the California Bar, Ms. Vento is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California.
