On March 30, 2018, Andrus Anderson LLP filed a lawsuit against Intel demanding equal pay. The lawsuit, filed in the Northern District of California alleges that plaintiff Cristina Wong was paid significantly less than her male and white peers for substantially equal work in violation of state and federal law. “Ms. Wong was an exemplary employee. Upon learning that she was being paid less than both her male and white counterparts, she complained but Intel did nothing to correct the situation,” said Andrus Anderson partner, Jennie Lee Anderson, who represents Ms. Wong. As reported in the San Jose Mercury News, when Ms. Wong raised the pay disparity with her manager, she was told “At least you make more than the intern.”
