Feb. 16, 2015 — The National Law Journal quoted Andrus Anderson LLP partner, Lori Andrus, in an article discussing the increasing presence of women in leadership positions in mass torts litigation. “We have more work to do to inform people of our presence,” she said. Throughout her career, Lori has pioneered leadership roles for women in the law. For example, Lori has played an integral role in Women En Mass, which started as an annual retreat for women in mass torts and morphed into an advocacy group for increasing the representation of women in legal leadership positions. Thanks to Women En Mass, hundreds of women lawyers are now connected and, through Lori’s organization and direction, are working on various projects designed to increase the number of women on plaintiffs’ steering committees in mass tort cases. “One myth we want to dispel is that we’re not out there,” she said.
